Working together with Francine Kidd (Director of Infection Control), Solica was able to implement and maintain aggressive cleanliness standards and please physicians, patients, and the hospital’s executive leadership.

Project Description: Complete renovation of 15,000 s.f. kitchen and servery that was completed while cafeteria remained open.  Food preparations for patients and some basic cafeteria services continued while a major renovation was being completed behind the scenes.   The project included the demolition of all building systems and finishes in addition to kitchen equipment.

Acosta Commercial Kitchen

Key Challenge: The client wanted to leave exposed ceiling and ducts to create a modern environment but there were extensive improvements to the roof, duct-work, and necessary fireproofing to bring the building up to modern code.

Project Description: This project renovated the old, empty “Cappels” building into a modern, commercial showcase kitchen and training center.  The historic building was retrofitted with modern finishes and top of the line MEP and technology to offer a state of the art food prep showcase and training facility.   Acosta is a major supplier to Kroger and uses the 30 chicken  spit-roaster to draw attention to their ability to create high quality food products without sacrificing time and energy.
